I use fusion 0.6.9 with a rtai 2.6.9 Kernel
I have RTnet 0.8.1 sucessfully installed (with patched startscript) and
started but i cannot rtping the
localhost (There is no supported network adapter in my computer, yet),
error: host 127.0.0.1 unreachable
ioctl: No route to host
Sometimes when starting RTnet I get the error: insmod : error when inserting / . . . /modules/rt_loopback.ko : -1 File exists Is that a problem? The module seems to be running.
Strange. What do rtifconfig and rtroute report? If something is broken there, what is reported when you call rtifconfig rtlo up 127.0.0.1 manually? Or when trying to remove/insmod the modules explicitly? Mmh, BTW, how do you try to use the script without a real NIC (what does RT_DRIVER and RT_LOOPBACK in rtnet.conf contain)? Actually, the script hasn't been designed for the loopback-only usecase. Better try starting manually (insmod rtai_rtdm, rtnet, and rt_loopback, then rtifconfig rtlo..., don't forget to start the system timer, e.g. simply by loading rtcfg).
