Hmm, not an isolated network for RTnet? Ok for testing, but likely not
for production purposes.

I have an hub for the links from eth0 and eth1 that links to internet.
Now that i've read this comment i've unlink from internet the hub...
It's the same...
i do not have the message "RTnet: unknown layer-3 protocol" in dmesg, but still i'm not able to configure eth1.
 

There is no problem (except for the isolation issue), you now have to
start the slave with an appropriate rtnet.conf file.

If the slave IS not eth1, WHAT is it?

and in any case, how can i configure the slave?

I'm sorry for all these questions, but really the documentation isn't exaustive ...
