Ok, so there is problem with getting up the transmitter of the NIC when
sending frames too early.

Mathias, did you notice such effects as well? Any idea which (deleted?)
code may be involved here?

Thinus, could you run the driver with "debug=16" and post the console
logs of both failing and successful starts?

@All: Can we exclude that the related Linux driver (same version!) does
not suffer from this?
