You can use the command prompt (or terminal, on a Mac) configured to your
color, font and size requirements. You can run the IRB or run a .rb program
from there with "ruby *filename*.rb".

Remeber to run the IRB from the correct foder (which I cannot remeber now)
and add the "ruby" folder to your environment path to run a .rb program from
its folder.
