Peter, you shouldn't have to install Ruby 1.8.7 being that it comes with Mac
OS
10.6.  The only thing that you needed to do was upgrade Rubygems and
Rails.  Thus, the instructions appear to be dated being the current version
of
Rubygems is 1.3.6.
