seems with dbus and hald, xorg now safely goes the route of all things gnome.

no, they were off by default, only alt-ctrl-bkspc was enabled by default,
afaicr.
but they were extremely handy to debug programs and make screenshots, or
simply to get out of a grab for other usability reasons.

I will investigate this as soon as I can reproduce it, which should be
doable.
If it's some issue in xorg, then I guess there is nothing rxvt-unicode can
do about it, though.
