I disagree that it's the WM's job to ask for exit confirmation on the
programs' behalf... It's nice to have a WM that can do that when
needed, but it's far from a standard feature.

And how can it be absurd to ask for confirmation on exit when so many
programs do ask?... (Konsole for example)

I understand that it's not something everyone will find useful, which
is why I imagine it as an option (URxvt*confirmExit: true) that
defaults to false, leaving standard behaviour untouched.
