 |Yeah, exactly that I understand as you said. my_hdr analogue will be
 |great! edit_headers analogue is not so important, in my opinion. I used
 |Mutt for many years and most cases of edit_headers can be replaced by

8} _Unfortunately_ localopts will not cover the command yet. :)
In fact localopts will likely vanish in v15 in sofar as we must
have an environment, just like g?roff has, but also TeX. I say
TeX because we need some kind of \gdef or `global' prefix that
allows to extend the following command / setting to affect the
global state. E.g., switching an account / evaluating a macro
will clone the current execution environment via copy-on-write,
and any changes will only affect it and anything deeper in the
recursion. I don't know yet: backward compatibility. But we need
that mechanism.

We could offer both for v14.9, dropping *customhdr* again in v15.
Or you have to go the mutt way and "uncustomhdr*" first when
switching an account. Given that i develop mostly on Linux since
some time and use MBOX for all my own boxes it is likely that it
would have taken at least two more years until i would found that
Maildir bug myself, except due to sheer luck. So i'm fine with
*customhdr*. And let's say it is a comma-separated (address)
list, we use that already multiple times, even though this means
special knowledge is required when a comma shall be used -- but
for those cases users can use the commands.

P.S.: Yeah, Russian ice is the best.
