The question I have is which bearing style does the NWSL replacement 
wheelset match?  I'm most familiar with the D-bearings and the new 
style square bearings on the SD60.  I seem to recall that the old 
style round bearings were buried in the metal gear tower casting - I 
haven't looked for a long, long time at the one GP9 I have with that 
style.

I'm confused about the discussion regarding all-wheel pick-up.  The 
two axle trucks are already all-wheel pick-up with one side being 
grounded to the frame and the other wired to the wipes.  The 
conversion would be to an all-wiper pick-up system and presumably the 
frame would be unpolarized.
