Hi Ed, They might exist somewhere but they are hard to find. I'd
need about 50 PFE reefers to model the VE in S scale, not sure it can
happen, ebay has not been productive, the dealers are sold out, the
manufcturers are making billboard reefers instead( plus I don't like
paying new prices, I'm a fixerupper type of guy). I had no trouble
finding O scale reefers, I've probably got over 30 O scale PFE cars
without even trying, if I could trade them for S scale cars it would
apparently take a miracle. So where would the new modeler go to build
a roster in a reasonable time? Are there S scale shows like OSW with a
lot of old stuff?.
Given the hurdles of S scale accumlation I can see someone giving
up and doing three rail O scale instead....Regards, Dave Branum Santa
