O.k... not to start a war here... but I see this as an ultimate
seclusionism... because if everyone does something different, how in the
world can one hope to have "operating sessions" with other modelers to run
trains on each others layouts (at club meets or whatever) since everyone
else's trains probably won't operate on the host's layout which was built
his own "individualistic" needs/wants to a different set of standard?

Sorry guys... maybe I'm stooopid, but I don't believe there is any possible
way a model train club (with a "club layout") could hope to exist under
those circumstances... or that a modeler could hope to be able to share his
layout with other enthusisats... sharing the hobby with others being the
greatest fun and reward.  There MUST be some sort of standards.

I'm just askin'...
