Hi Dick, You know you can't buy them in HO either and that doesn't
drive the HO guys to toy trains? My feeling is if you can't figure
out how to install a ground throw or a switch motor then you should
take up another hobby, there's lots of more complicated things to do
on a layout than installing switches.
Separation of scale and high rail is a natural condition, O has
the same thing with 3 rail and 2 rail, it's just a matter of
dedication or preference, some guys don't want to take the trouble or
maybe they just like the toys stuff better, either way it shouldn't
matter to the other side. Any major growth in S scale will come from
HO guys moving up and that can't happen till they are able to buy a
better selection of modern equipment What S scale really needs is for
Athearn, Atlas or one of the major HO manufacturers to get interested
and copy some of their products in S scale size......dave
