Michael, What you say is very true with one big exception--narrow
gauge. I know many people who modeled all the eras in HO but after one
trip to Chama or Durango made the switch to Sn3--I came very close
myself! These guys came back home and sold all their diesels and bought
C's T's and K's and put them on light rail.
                                                               Back in
the days of the Herald there was a column that stated there were no S
narrow gauge manufacturers! Now Sn3 is on equal settings with the other
scales narrow gauge numbers thanks to early efforts of Tomalco (even
before Swede Norlin (sp) took over) and of course PBL developed the high
end brass line and injection molded plastic BTS and Railmaster and many
others have added to make a fairly complete line and loyal customers.
Maybe we could learn something from Bill Peters!
