Tom and All,
     I visited his prior layout a few years ago during the Dear born 
convention, and his layout was/is everything you say it is.  Brooks is a 
very creative person.
     But inquiring minds (and me too) wonder why didn't he go to the 
smaller rail size when he had the chance?  He is an excellent builder so 
he would have no problem using the smaller flex track and the smaller 
flange wheels, along with his choice of 'scale' couplers and the rest of 
the changes he made.
