Darrell,
        Not True!  I bought lead shot from Cabella's at $15 for 25 pounds.  
Pennies worked out to something like three times that cost.  I had my 
students figure it out for a lab!  Now I didn't have to add shipping as 
I carried my shot home, but I'd bet you could get shot somewhere 
locally.  Now if you're talking about those stick on weights marked in 
1/2 oz increments, yea they are expensive.
