Charles,

What type of glue worked best when you replaced your AM handrails?

Ted, you know I've been running stock AM handrails on 2 GP7's, a GP35, an
Amtrak FP and an RS3 for a good many years. Over all those years the only
damage was a broken front handrail on the GP35 and a broken rear handrail on
the FP. I got replacements from AM in quick order for a couple bucks (thanks
Ron).
One caveat- I don't try to glue them on rigidly. That allows their
flexibility to help prevent breakage. Handling does require a little common
sense and merely remembering not to be overly rough. Also, if you paint
portions yellow, it seems the paint won't adhere well to the delrin like
material and may need a retouch. None of mine are painted.
