I contacted SSL&S during the summer re: Hudson conversion for plastic American Hi-rail 20th Century Limited and he got back to me. He is still alive & well, but as with all of us "life is getting in the way".
He stated that he needed to finish construction of shop in back of house prior to unpacking, inventorying and organizing on shelves to fill any orders. He indicated he would be unable to respond to orders until after construction (late fall / winter). If you willing to wait. He may have what you're looking for.
