John,

I've gotten Kadee 508's body mounted on my AM 85' heavyweights and
they make it around my 29" radius and through Old Pullman #5
turnouts, although they won't handle a reverse curve through the
#5's.

Just to eek out a little extra coupler swing, I also tapered
slightly the inside side edges of the coupler boxes. I'm not really
sure how much the tapers help, but they didn't hurt.

their Heavyweight Passenger cars? I'm going to go this route, and
I'm curious to know what will probably be the tightest curves and
turnouts these cars will negotiate with the body-mounted couplers?
I will be using Kadee gearboxes with either Kadee couplers or
Sergent Engineering couplers on my cars.
