Thanks, Bill, I haven't seen these before, but I have heard of them... and
don't they contain some inaccuracies... something about some corrections that
were made to the standards (determined by the NASG and NMRA) some time around
2003 or 2004 that would lead to a new gauge needing to be produced (see excerpt
from Ed McCamey below which I got TODAY)? Or am I getting them confused with
some other, inaccurate S scale gauge?

Southeast Georgia S SCALER
EXCERPT :
For 'regular' S scale (NMRA S3.2 and S4.2), the NASG was apparently
supplying standard S scale gages prior to the time that the NMRA and
NASG standards were correctly aligned (2003 - 2004) - but the NMRA is
expecting to again be supplying S scale gages in the future, unless the
NASG insists on continuing the supply. I'm not a part of the S scale
standards except for PROTO and FINE specifications. Drafting and quotes
for the "small production scales" gages are working their way through
the supply chain of the NMRA. This will take awhile, as the effort is
run by all volunteers and the contracting of the winning vendor has to
be presented to and approved by the BOD. The Standards and Conformance
Department has reviewed and is approving the drawings and
specifications. The S scale coordinator is tasked with contacting and
working with the the NASG group (also a group of volunteers) for a
supply to the hobby coordination. Maybe Jim should be in contact with
the NASG standards folks for a 'regular' S scale gage - or he should
contact the NMRA S scale coordinator (Bill Nielsen) as well.
