While we've discussed this before, some may have missed it- there are two 
styles of 
Tomalco track. The original Tomalco track had wider tie spacing, similar to 
Shinohara. When the dies were reworked during Banta's ownership, the ties were 
moved somewhat closer together.

Looking at two samples I have, the original track had 108 ties per 3ft length. 
Current 
production has 120. Someone else can determine what this means in terms of the 
prototype.
