I have about 7,000 mp3 files I've ripped from cd and downloaded from
subscription. I have them on my computer so I can use an electronic
juke box and run them through my surround sound on random play via an
RCA cable. I no longer have music cds. The reason I mention all this
is because I also keep the mp3 files backed up on an external hard
drive. External hard drives are now pretty cheap and I think they have
reached the terabyte level of storage. I also keep the files backed up
on relative's hard drives off site. The standard in computer storage
is to keep whatever backup is used in an undisclosed location off
site. Hope this helps.
