Simulating sufficient water vapor coming from  track pan to make it 
look realistic would be a challenge. Getting rid of it after the pass 
would also be a challenge. I remember visiting Carl Appel's 00 Gauge 
layout after one of the conventions years ago and he said he had a 
problem with smoke. He modeled the N&W (his road was Norfolk & Ohio I 
believe). Anyway he installed two AF H0 smoke units in the tenders 
and under power they filled the room with 'smoke'. He had to shut 
down every now and then and vent the place!

While it might be a neat idea, suggesting lighter fluid or alcohol to 
Ed may be dangerous - he is just a kid at heart!
