Use overland drives that guys have left over from installing the
River Raisin redrives in their F units. Make a one piece frame to
hold the entire running gear. Stack the two Canon motors Sunset used
in the model end to end. The larger Sagami (if you have one) is too
large in diameter to fit. Solder the upper superstructure into one
piece and attach it to the frame with 8 screws so the model is
extremely easy to assemble or disassemble, and add DCC, and add
sound, and add lights, Or better yet, give me a couple more months
and buy my GP-7 and GP-9 thatI have reworked and painted in glorious
RioGrande colors on eBay. I may by then have developed a smoke
generator unit for diesels.
