Bob,
    An article on converting the Sunset (Samhongsa) GP-7 and GP-9 was published 
in an S Scale magazine by Rollie Mercier back in the late 80's.  Can't remember 
the name of the publication, but Rollie was the editor (maybe it was a reprint 
from a previous article).  No doubt he can shed more light on this.  I followed 
the instructions and the AM drives worked great.  As I recall, installing 
couplers was a bit more challenging.  Wouldn't hurt if the coupler shanks were 
longer.
