Wonder of wonders!! Another S scale modeler actually MODELED recently!!!

Well... that's PART of the reason for belonging to an email group, I
suppose? I know it sure is inspiring to see pics of other's work.

Mmmmm. Haven't a clue what that is... but it sure sounds delicious!

I think one can cover themselves up with more "too do" projects than one
realizes in this scale. The only thing you CAN'T do is select from a large
variety of SHS-quality RTR locomotives. (i..e By SHS-quality, I mean
comparing it to HO scale Kato, Atlas, P2K, etc.)

What we need to do is purchase as much SHS stuff as we can so as to make SHS
rich so they can tackle some Alco's and other goodies. :-) Can you tell
that I'm really impressed with SHS quality???

Not to slight the other manufacturer's, though. Bear in mind that my
exposure to S scale is still very limited.

HOWEVER... I will be able to take a "look see" at an AM Baldwin S12 as soon
as it arrives. Yup... went ahead and ordered a CB&Q version. Also gonna'
be wheelin' n' dealin' for some rolling stock pretty quick. :-) My purpose*
in this round of purchases is that I want to get enough equipment on hand to
motivate me to lay track. Wouldn't do much good to have track down... I
don't have enough stuff to run!!

* Purpose... as in I "need" to do this. Get it? Don't you just love my
twisted justification?
