Hi Andre, Since your space is fairly small it would be hard to
model an exact scene and still have enough operations so I'd suggest
making one or possibly two railroads the switching line or lines and
let your other favorites show up as interchange runs(If you can
inter-twine two separate routes around the room you could have two
switching roads otherwise just go with one) A small interchange yard
would be all that's needed for foreign road locos and caboose to show
up, leave their cuts, and maybe takes something home as they return.
I'd invent some fictional streets or switching district that is
typical of the bottoms but not exact since you don't have the space of
the prototype has to play with so you'll want to compress and
embellish reality. Again, I'd stop buying locos till there is track
and industries to serve, once you have the layout the locos will come
easily, worst case you might have to decal one but not now! I'd just
make the typical scene for whatever my favorite line is and know that
I'll get locos some way....dave
