Hi Lynn, and glad to have you aboard :) If you have not yet discovered it, the Scenery Unlimited Catalog is probably the single best source for S scale structure kits, detail parts, etc., etc. 7236 W. Madison St., Forest Park, IL 60130 (Chicago area), 708-366-1973. Don Heimburger, the publisher, also produces the S Gaugian (45th year) and it is mostly AF/hirail, but seems to have more S scale features these days.
There are so many other excellent suppliers who give fantastic service...I won't mention any others for fear of leaving someone out. But most of them are represented in the SUC. The catalog is about fifteen bucks, and IMHO, worth every penny. Comes out every two years. Others on the list will have more suggestions. Bob Werre is an excellent S scale modeler and lives in the Houston area, which is a pretty furr piece I am sure, even by Texas standards. Bob is a commercial photographer by profession and shoots most of the superlative SHS images for their ads. Cheers :) Roy Inman www.unionstationphotos.com From: lynnshouse2000 <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Wed, 05 Sep 2007 20:32:03 +0000 To: [email protected] Subject: {S-Scale List} New to list I need to learn about track, ties (I like to handlay), detail parts, and the myriad of other items that haven't occurred to me yet. I don't know much, in fact I have just begun to suspect a few things LOL. Thanks for letting me into the group. This seems to be a well rounded bunch I can learn from.
