Welcome to this list! I joined last September and have learned this group
of "S-heads" are quite indulgent concerning newbies and S scale. (In my case
standard gauge S scale... modeled in Sn3 for a number of years some time
ago.)

How close to Texarkana?
I live in Poteau*, Oklahoma... about 3 1/2 hours from Texarkana. If you
want, you can come up here and look at a handful of assembled boxcar kits...
some undecorated AM S12's... and a few pieces of track on bare homasote.
