Peter et al -- The article you are looking for re Frank Titman conversions of AF hoppers is:
Constructing Hoppers In Your Shop S Gaugian, March/April 1984 page 37 ( AF, HOPPER, KITBASH, "TITMAN, FRANK R.", CONSTRUCTION, FREIGHTCAR, S, SGA ) I thought this would be anywhere but the S Gaugian, so I never looked there. But there it is, found in the Kalmbach RR magazine index (http://www.index.mrmag.com/). I looked up the article in the Mobley Library's collection and it's the right one. FYI, the Library has been refused permission from Don Heimburger to copy S Gaugian articles. Therefore, people wanting S Gaugian articles are lent the entire magazine for a 4-week period. What you do with it (short of cutting it up!) stays in your home. We never know what you do -- stay up nights drooling over it, or...? Dick Karnes, Librarian Russell M.
