Folks...I cannot speak for Andre's itty bitty bugs, but I can relate a 
tale told to me by a guy who, I think, knows his stuff.  He claims that 
synthetic materials are "the only way to go" in order to prevent 
attracting spiders, beetles, ants, generic bugs, rot, mildew, etc., 
etc.  With manmade stuff, all these critters tend to stay outdoors 
where Mother Nature intended for them to be.

While I do not have any personal experience with biological stuff, I 
would consider carefully the downside risk.  Are coffee grounds, etc. 
really that much better than something artificial?  Who knows?  Not me, 
that's for sure.  Just a caution here for the unwary.....
