There is an S scale model of a small portable coal conveyor made by 
Frank Titman's former Lehigh Valley Models.  I presume the new owner of 
the company still has kits available.  This is the perfect thing to use 
for loading coal into trucks, gondolas, hoppers, tenders, etc.  Not 
sure if it is correct for the 1920s, but it looks neat in any event.
