I believe I would have to stand with Bill Lane on that one. Not that we
don't need one, it's just way too many types, styles and shapes for
roundhouses. For those who might be interested in roundhouses the CNW
was selling two entire books on roundhouses and the accompanying
facilities. I found it very interesting that many houses in the cold
country were brick in the inside but had wooden exteriors. I believe
this was to prevent water from getting into the crevices and then
cracking the brickwork during a freeze.

Time permitting, I will be putting together my idea of one. I have to
work out a few things in my head first then start construction. I have
a single stall house (BTS with mods), and two stall (Building and
Structure) and a three stall (Village Depot kit from many years ago); so
now on to the 'big house'. It will have plaster brick sidewalls, board
& batton end walls and a typical clestory window arrangement. One main
problem is my desire to make it moveable for cleaning track etc. It
will be fairly large and heavy, so I'm trying to make it modular with
interlocking sides.

For those wanting to try one, perhaps you folks could convince Pine
Canyon into going a basic wall section (assuming you want brick) and
build it from there.
