Hi John,
I have another couple of ideas for you to consider. I use a converted travel
trailer. It still has the wheels and running gear on it, and I've moved it
twice with my own truck with no issues. Another nice thing is that many people
have them in their yards, so there are no zoning or neighbor issues. Mines in
Maine, so you know it will stand severe temperature shifts.

Another possibility is a portable contractors office. They are generally
wider than the travel trailers, but can't be move without a larger truck.
They're insulated and designed for any weather conditions. The other advantage
of these options is that they don't effect property taxes. You could have
issues with zoning and neighbors with this one however.

Take a look at this fellows solution to layout housing in Scotland...

portable storage sheds. Outside of the general climate control issues that lead
to expansion and contraction of the benchwork, track and models, what sort of
other issues might I run into?

The building I intend to buy if I decide to go this route is the "Utility"
model seen on the web site below :

Along with a "lease to own" purchase plan, this company offers various options
on their buildings such as different size doors and windows. So what would be
good options for window sizes and the heights of these windows? Any other
thoughts?

The size of the buinding will be 12' X 32' (outer dimensions).
