An annual publication was suggested once, not persued. On page 41 of the
March RMC there's an advertisement for the 2008 On30 Annual. See
http://on30annual.com/ . Maybe something like this would satisfy the need
for a printed magazine but not burn out and editor and publisher with
too-frequently having to crank out new material.
This On30 annual is published by Carstens, publisher of RMC. But anyone,
Carstens, Kalmbach, Heimburger House, could be persuaded to do a similar
publication dedicated to S scale if they thought there was money to be made.
I'm sure Carstens' ultimate objective here was ROI, not charity to one phase
of modelling. We just need to find someone naïve enough not to realize how
few copies they'd sell. Or maybe it would sell, who knows.
