Hi folks,
Just a quick note to check in. I have been busy this week,
volunteering at the USGA Women's Open Golf Tournament, enjoying the
outdoors, a nice golf course (where I didn't lose any golf balls)and
some first class relaxation. I had company over on Tuesday and fired
up the Heartland for them but it just wouldn't fire up. I had bought
a new car off e-bay and just set it on the rails for "show", the cars
wheels had a short that didn't show up until the layout got a thump
and the car moved. A bit frustrating but soon fixed and the show
went on! Hard to believe it is the 4th of July next week, up here in
Minnesota that means Winter cannot be far behind and it is time to
get thinking about the railroad. I have three turnouts I built for
Steve Doyle, I would like to get them in before the 4th as they are
last year's project and I would like to have a clean slate for this
year. Hope you all are enjoying summer in your neck of the woods. I
doubt I will make Lowell but you never know about last minute
changes.
