Ron,

They have kept their minds active.  I do not know about everyone, but going up
and down the stairs multiple times a day to my rr area over the garage keeps my
legs in shape.  All modeling requires thinking and planning which exercises the
mind.

Speaking as some who joined the Marines in 1963 and retired in 1994 after
Desert Storm, we were not trained to sit around.  My dad is 86 and joined the
Marines in 1940, retiring in 1960.  He is going strong and is stillmore active
than most people in their 50's.

I am sure you are right Ron.

Hi Ron --
I like the sounds of that!
Bill

As long as you are working on your railroad, you won't croak anytime
soon. It has been my experience here, that guys that keep active
modeling or working on their railroads, live infinately longer than
their nonactive counterparts. It seems that over the years, our older
modeling customers seem to greatly outlive our straight collecting
customers. I have no scientific data to base that observation on,
except it seems the active guys live a lot longer.
