Don,
Last time I saw you was in Cleveland. I was ill at S Spree and with out
going into all the details had a serious operation, then while in recovery and
getting therapy was hit by a young lady in a truck. That caused four operations
on my shoulder that was destroyed. I thought I was getting to be like the
little guy with the preverbial black cloud over his head.
At this time, I am having a web site erected for TOMALCO S SCALE PARTS
which is likely to change its name to THE SUPPLY CAR due to my carrying kits
for cars, locomotives and custom made cars. We have added Smoky Mountain
Models Works kits and track laying gigs to our products. We are funding the
production by Jim King of a Central of Georgia caboose and he is going to add a
CofGa Woodrack shortly.
Do not remember if you knew about my converting your 2 and 3 bay covered
hoppers to other road names you do not produce. I had Microscale enlarge HO
artwork to S to provide the needed material.
Therefore, other than your current imported cars and engines, I need to
know what blank cars you have in stock or will be producing. I can sell these
cars to modelers with a decal set. Since each set that I have will do up to
six cars, there tends to be repeat sales of blank cars that I purchased from
you earlier.
I would like to purchase one of your unlettered 2-8-0's to see what would
have to be done to it to produce a small series of southern engines by
rearranging fittings. I have one customer who wants to produce a ACL
0-8-0, another wants to do an SAL 2-8-0, and several who want to make either GA
RR, Gainesville Midland, or Central of Georgia versions using my brass detail
parts to obtain what they want.
We would like your permission to put a link on our new site to your site
and use your logo to let buyers know we sell your products. Could you send
your catalogue along with your written permission to use your logo to advertise
your site on mine?
Thank you for your help.

Dear Bill,
Boy can I tell stories on what a mistake it is to use the points as
the sole way to power the switch. Today, most motive power in S has all
wheel pickup, I would rather see the points hard wired to the stock rail
with a insulated frog than using the points to power the frog. Just my
opinion, but surely the easiest KISS solution.
