I have been following this thread for a while now with great
amusement. Yesterday, the other shoe dropped for many of us S scale
mfg. from our builder in China. We have all been hit with a 10%
increase tomorrow and another 10% Jan 1st. This would include Lionel
(American Flyer), American Models, S Scale America and ourselves. If
you follow the exchange rate and have seen the drop in the dollars vs.
the other currencies of the world, this should not be a surprise.
Please do not blame the Chinese as our builder has been owned by JP
Morgan for the last few years. I am not complaining, just pointing out
some of the realities of the market place and how it effects our
favorite scale.

PS Diesel Tsunami sound decoders arrived yesterday. Today, the cost is
the same for our in stock switchers or F7s with Tsunami sound. You
cannot believe how different 32 bit sound can be in a diesel.
