Hi Ed: I have a staging yard with a 28" radius, the next track is at a 3"
spacing making it a 31" radius. With a 72' Pullman on the 28" radius and a 58'
NP B-3 on the 31" radius there is slightly more than a 1/2" clearance. Hope
that helps. John Currie Reno

I'm building some layover/staging tracks and would like your opinion.
I will never run anything larger than an SHS 2-8-0 and 50' cars. I
know that Don uses 20" and 25" radii on his display layout with no
problems. What I would like to use is 24", 27", and 30" radii. That
would be 3" spacing (added for Raleigh's benefit :o). I'm not looking
for official standards. Without having to construct a test bed, do you
think I'll run into clearance issues?
