HI,

Last month at our LVSG meeting at John Foley's, John gave a talk on all the new
Radio Controlled Model railroads that are fast approaching us because of the
great batteries now available and what is coming in our future.

Wouldn't it be neat to lay out your non-electrified track, run your battery
controlled trains anywhere on your layout! Wow!

But what will that do to the DCC modelers, as well as us DC modelers?

Also on my wild mind ...

I received a brochure from RLN Publishing several weeks ago, telling me that my
subscription to the 1:64th Modeling Guide had run out.

I haven't noticed any conversation of the 1:64th Modeling Guide on our list.

What are your thoughts? Who is RLN Publishing / Robert Nalbone, what can we
expect this time?

Our LVSG gang had their annual picnic at the Strasburg Railroad this past
Sunday. Had a really great time. Their is also a lot of hobby shops open in the
area, plus the Pennsylvania Railroad Museum. If you haven't visited the
Strasburg Railroad, please do.
It is worth every cent and the scenery is beautiful. (Open Coach ride $14.00.)
The equipment is top notch and their is plenty of railroad stuff at the
Strasburg railroad itself to photograph. (Thomas the Train will be there 13th -
21st September.) http://www.strasburgrailroad.com
