Hi Bill and everyone else...Couplers are alive and well! Have a blog site stared, that will eventually have it's own domain name.....baby steps.
This site will address ALL S coupler concerns hopefuly! What I am working towards is a primary source for: products, technical info, manufacturer links and specifications (with their cooperation and permission) and things like helpful installations for a variety of cars and locos, adaptations, fixes, comparisons, commentary from S enthusiasts, and prototype drawings/dimensions and scale comparisons o various couplers. It is hoped that this will lead to a greater "networking" of information and provide potential manufacturers/importers/suppliers and dealers of S products and couplers and the S Scale/Gauge community as a whole a resource for S Couplers. This might make it easier to concentrate efforts on particular types of S couplers and get accurate information, Key will be the willingness to help me help everyone, with info, helpfull hints, resources, links etc. It is not an instant thing and will take time and energy to get going, The first steps have been taken. Also need help from apropriate NASG people with standards, and also coordination with the NMRA. Have communicated with Mr. Bruce metcalf on the subject of couplers in S. This site will treat the Scale, Hi-Rail, American Flyer and narrow gauge fans equally. And will strive to provide resources for all in S 1:64 - 3/16" scale model railroading. You all may wish to see the birthing pains at: http://www.s-cplrhed.blogspot.com. We will see wnere this all goes and maybe generate potential production of some new S products, never seen before. S Gaugingly yours, Peter L in Oregon (for now) PS: may be fun to check my web site also http://www.trains-4-u.com [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------------------ Yahoo!
