Don't you mean "if" the new Sargent comes out. I wouldn't hold my breath as
they have stated that it's not high on their priority list. That's why they
pulled any reference to S from their web site. I'm pretty fussy, and I can't
see enough difference between KDs and the prototype to make me give up the
cost, reliability, and availability advantage they have over Sargents. The
only place it might be worthwhile looking for something else is for
photographing a particular model or a contest model. KD has a very good
point. I think it would be a "very" few who would switch to a new coupler.
Never enough for a hobby shop to bother stocking them.
One other thing- From my experience with the HO Sargents, it is very difficult
to manually center Sargent couplers if your layout is very high. You have to
look down on them. It's also difficult for any but the first couple of tracks
from the layout edge. Very frustrating and hard on old shoulders.

Here is what happened... it bacame clear to us that Kadee has no intention
of doing anything for us. So the topic was apparently dropped by
everyone... much like the way I will drop Kadee from my list of sourced to
spend money with when the new Sergent comes out.
