John D. did, you contact Kadee via phone/email/fax/or letter...Why not just
send them a copy of what you wrote in a previous post? making statements here
does not get Kadee's ear.

I do know they do look at emails and may, if enough
people/manufacturers/importers/hobby shops/suppliers etc. send in directed
requests. What exactly do you want them to do for you??? What corrections,
specifically do you want?, what new product do you want?, what specific type of
coupler style do you want???

I did provide everyone with an easy method for contacting Kadee: [EMAIL
PROTECTED] or through their web site: www.kadee.com

How, what, why you chose to say to them, is up to you!

By the way, you have not mentioned SHS, S Helper Service S-Scale couplers at
all! They provide US ALL with a wonderfull S coupler that is adaptable to just
about any mounting condition. Their S coupler even is a rust brown color. I
assume, as I have not measured with a micrometer, or calculated exact
equivalent dimensions to an actual coupler, that they are very close to scale
size for 1:64 proportions.

That being said, no one's coupler is, or probably can be, an exact scale
duplicate of a real full size coupler, due to the fact they would not work
automaticaly, you would have to have a coupler pin lift bar and a functioning
pin to pull. This has been done, to my personal joy and modeling endeavours,
in O scale, probably G/#1, and also of course in 11/2" scale live steam.

Short of that you and everyone else in S-Scale (and most of the other scales)
will have to deal with some compromises in width, heighth, depth and form (size
of knuckle, stricking face, and coupler head)....so that you (all of us) can
have a functioning, facsimile of the real thing.

In that sense the American Flyer knuckle coupler is a perfect "compromise". By
the way it IS prefect, as is, for G-Scale! This is at the Large over-size
end....and at the small under-size end for S, is the Kadee#5 HO coupler (and
clones) -aprox. 12% undersized- which is close to "perfect" if you model
"early" S standard gauge or most narrow gauge rr's using a 3/4 size, in S,
coupler. In Sn2 the Micro-Trains N coupler (1/2 size in S) would be close to
"perfect". These are all "compromises", not exacting duplicates of the real
thing.

EVERYONE PLEASE NOTE: The SHS #01259 and the Kadee # 802 and #808 ARE
AUTOMATIC, SELF CENTERING, MAGNETICALLY ACTIVATED S-SCALE COUPLERS! and when
measured are very close to exact scale, given "compromises" necessary to
function automatically and utilizing a trip pin and a magnet for uncoupling.

The American Models, scale coupler, a "dummy" coupler that does not operate, is
very close to 1:64 proportions and looks good. And the Sargents S coupler
looks good overall and seems to be very close to 1:64 proportions, does operate
manually, but according to commentary on this site, is not compatible with
automatic S couplers. I personaly have only seen photo's never had any Sargents
Couplers, so I cannot offer any "real" experiences in performance or scale
proportions.

Hope you find YOUR S coupler, I have created an S- coupler Blog site at
www.s-cplrhed.blogspot.com It is in the birthing process..so be patient an help
