Folks, I'm a lot younger than Ed, but my S habit goes back a little
further. In high school I started to save my mowing money ($1 per week)
with the idea of the Enhorning F or the Dockside. The Dockside was $25
and the F unit was $26. I went the cheap route and got the Dockside.
Of course I hadn't figured in the cost of a bottle of Floquil engine
black @.60! That engine, now with scale drivers, extra detail, and DCC
still runs the layout fairly well, although it runs a lot better
backward than forward. Never have figured that one out!

Actually that is a great 'test bed' engine for dead spots on turnouts.
If that little guy makes it through a turnout a bigger engine will do
just fine.

Complaining about something is mostly likely due to our increasing
age/desire to accomplish something before the fire goes out!
