RR construction crews on the Keokuk and Des Moines Valley (K&D)
Division of SHABBONA RR, having reached Mt. Zion, have now progressed
to Bonaparte. Only a short stretch remains between there and Mooar
Yard to complete the main line.
Switches are in place for ancillary trackage, which remains to be
installed. Next will be wiring, permitting through service to begin
over the route.
