Gents.....
I have stumbled across some more stuff excess to the needs of the mighty
NYC. The list is shown below. First preference given to those willing to
build kits. Second preference to those willing to come over and work on the
layout. Third place awarded to those with cash in their hot little hands.
If all of the above fails, make me an offer I cannot refuse. In concept, I
am looking at about half price for most of this stuff -- plus
postage&handling if you cannot come over and pick it up. OFFLIST replies
only or else you will be automatically disqualified. Nothing personal, just
the way it is.....heh, heh.
1. SIMPSON, 1/2" scale (aka "1:24 scale"), #818, structure window, 45"x69"
double hung. These are large industrial type windows about 2" wide by 3"
tall. Quite suitable for the large windows in a roundhouse or factory
building. Each pane is 1/2" wide by 5/8" tall. Total of 19 packages with
two windows each. Retail price at time of purchase years ago (before oil
prices went skyward) seems to be $4.00 per package. Brand new.
2. SIMPSON, 1/2" scale, #583, Depot or large house windows, 39"x90" double
hung, overall size 1-3/4" wide by 3-3/4" tall, each pane 3/4" wide by 7/8"
tall, Total of four packages with two windows each. Original retail price
was $4.00 years ago. Brand new.
3. TRAIN STUFF, S scale, four-wheel passenger trucks, soft white metal
castings, Miller or ACE metal wheelsets, sprung and equalized, brass eyelet
journal boxes, new kits, seven pair in total. No idea what they cost.
Maybe Don Thompson will remember? Make an offer. Brand new, but made years
ago.
4. QUALITY CRAFT MODELS, QS-2 CP bathtub gondola, new kits, have four.
Original retail price (to me) about $10 or so. Make an offer.
5. AMERICAN MODELS, #3451 BN 4-bay hopper, black with white lettering/logo,
RTR with scale wheels, retail value about $35. Brand new as far as I know.
Note: If you want to swap your superb craftsman abilities for free stuff,
please contact me quickly. I don't need the cash, but could use some help
with building kits. If all else fails, your cash will be most welcome. Let
me know what you'd like to do. I'm soliciting and collecting offers.
Thanks...Ed Loizeaux, 1-650-962-1577.
