MJ Tower on SHABBONA RR is now installed and semi-operational. I say
"semi" because Radio Shack toy stores no longer stock the 4PDT
mini-toggle switch I need to power the crossing. I'll have to mail
order one, I guess, and pay about twice as much in shipping as the
price of the toggle
I have successfully used 3PDT toggles (Radio Shack toy stores no
longer stock those, either) in the past, but since the switch at MJ is
one end of a wye that needs polarity reversal to do its job properly,
and the Mooar side of the crossing as well, a 3PDT (shown in the
control panel photo won't work with my common rail electrical system.
Believe me, I spent about three days discovering that!
Temporarily, the crossing is wired for running on the Mooar side only,
until I get the proper toggle. I have posted a photo of the control
panel in the photos section under "Bob Nicholson", and will post a
photo of MOOAR JUNCTION trackage in a little while.
