Bob,  This is the point where running on DCC would probably solve that 
problem in one heart beat.  There are several mnaufacturers making 
'automatic reversing units' that eliminate all those switches.  I 
installed a MRC unit on my turntable and it routes the current properly 
everytime.  I don;'t know how it works but it does.
