Bob,

My suggestion, if that is the way you want to go, is to totally
replace the Athearn frame and drive with an under floor drive.  NWSL
has one, and there are a few others on the market, although I can't
recall the names offhand.  Bull Ant comes to mind.  You can use the
plastic "sideframes" for the widened truck, and you will now have lots
of room inside for a little weight, some cab detailing, and your
Tsunami decoder.  When you are done with it you might have as little
as $300 invested in your "Critter".
