Thanks for the comment. I considered building to a module standard but the
problem is making the ends compatible with the module standards and at the
same time providing a reasonable layout geometry. I tried something like this
in my HO module days but never could find a happy compromise - even with the
additional space available in HO with the same room.
I don't know what SMOD requires for ends, especially where the track is located
relative to the sides, and what the lengths are acceptable but trying to fit a
switching layout into the result, in my efforts, resulted in an artificial
arrangement of track.
If you would send me a sketch of this idea I would be happy to include it in
the website - perhaps someone else could accomplish this - it is appealing.
